Welcome to our website!
This is the blog of two crazy Wishnies, Fred and Jo, who, on a whim in the summer of 2005, decided to shed the trappings of "normal life": home, family, jobs, possessions, everything we took for granted, and go off to see the world. Or at least, the world of our United States.
After living for six years in a 2400 sq. ft. urban loft condo in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we chucked it all, and shoehorned ourselves into a 390 sq. ft. Fifth Wheel Trailer, towed by a Ford F350 Diesel Dually Crew Cab pickup truck.
Not only was this a 180° lifestyle change, but we had absolutely no camping or RV experience, both of us having lived an urban life our entire lives, disdaining even the suburbs. So a mere six months later the impulse became reality and on February 12, 2006, we took off on the greatest adventure of our lives. We're sharing it all with you, the good, the bad and the ugly.
We hope you'll enjoy living vicariously through us by this blog, as we crisscross this great country with our dog Boo Boo and cat Phoenix, looking for the flavors and customs of the different regions. We hope to make many new friends and discoveries along the way and share them with you. And we would love to hear from you as well.
