New Mexico Trout Lab

New Mexico Trout Lab travel blog
A flexible person needs to be, well flexible. I received an e-mail at 8:15 PM, Wednesday night from the Fly Fishers Club in Fort Worth, informing the membership of a Trout Lab in Ute Park, NM which one of the members had enrolled and paid the attendance fee, but could not attend. He, being another flexible Fly Fisherman, had just returned from England on a spur of the moment trip to join another Fly Fisherman who needed help, fishing. I, being a flexible person, with a desire to help my fellow man, volunteered to make the long drive and sit in a class among the cool pines rather than stay in TX in the heat. Karl is indebted to me for life for my sacrifice.
Travel along as I head to parts of New Mexico, new to me, but have been on my list (I don’t like the term bucket list) for a couple of years. Eagle Nest, Red River, Wild Rivers Recreation Area, Pecos River in the San Miguel National Forest, or where ever I stop.
When in Rhome do as the Romans. New Mexico is home to many world champion ropers; therefore you will notice in the journal picture that I am wearing my Resistol Steer Ropers hat combined with my Austria Dive Boat shirt, shorts and flip flops which will allow me blend in with the natives.
Thanks for traveling with me.
