Welcome to my trip journal!
In 2005 my then 19 year old daughter, Margaret, and I left our home near San Francisco and backpacked through South-East Asia, India, Turkey, and Greece. It was a marvelous experience. We both learned a lot.
So this year we have decided to take off again and see a few places we both would like to visit - Dublin, L'Isle en Dodon in France to visit our good friends Keith and Clark; Hungary, to experience the glories of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; Transylvania, to search for the origins of the Dracula legend; and Egypt, to view the classic splendors of the Nile.
Should be a great trip. We leave on March 22nd, 2008
