Sam and Linda's Spring Fling 2011 |
|
We started our honeymoon in 1984 by camping in a tent at Chipmunk Flats on the Sonora Pass. Because of conflicting work schedules, we really didn't use the tent much.
In 2000, we upgraded to a 1997 Viking tent trailer, which we thought was quite the step up from a tent. We only used it about five times (again because of conflicting work schedules).
In July of 2009, good friends purchased a fifth wheel. We were so impressed with all the space, that we decided to purchase a real trailer. So we gave the tent trailer to our oldest son and family, and bought a never used 2008 Keystone 25' bumper pull trailer. We loved the floor plan. After the fifth outing (beginning to see a pattern here?), Sam asked me to drive because he thought it would be good for me to know how just in case! After about 5 miles on Interstate 5, I took the next rest stop exit and that was that!!!
We sold the trailer.
In March of 2010, the Class C motorhome that we ordered arrived-a 2010 31' Forest River Forester. What a step up. Turns out, there wasn't enough leg room in the passenger compartment for Sam. Didn't realize at the time that I would be driver 95% of the time.
So once again, after five outings (seems to be our magic number), in December 2010, we traded in and up to 'bama baby-a 34' 2010 Itasca Meridian V diesel pusher.
And I think we both agree, after five outings, we will NOT be trading rv's.
Come along, enjoy our adventures. Open the guestbook link above to share your thoughts. We would love to hear from you.
