Welcome to the Rumsky Trip Experience! Safari...the Swahili word for journey. This travelogue will chronicle our family's year-long safari beginning on June 19th in Madagascar and traveling overland across the African continent from Capetown, South Africa to Cairo, Egypt. We will continue through the Middle East to Instanbul, Turkey, and spend our final few months exploring Eastern Europe (including the former Yugoslavia, Albania, Bulgaria, and Romania).
We are a family of three avid travellers, two parents (Robin and Fran) and teen-aged Christopher.
