Road Trippin' with Winnie

Gail travel blog
Welcome to my trip journal! Glad your here. Here's a little back story.

For as long as I can remember Mike has wanted to take a road trip in the fall for obvious reasons: cooler temps and less tourist. I too have wanted to take a road trip but for a slightly different reason; to get outside the boundaries of Colorado! Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the Rocky Mountain state but have also dreamed of seeing the rest of this great place we call America.

Our very loose itinerant is to get to the Oregon coast and hang out on the iconic Highway 101 for the month of September. Yes, you read it right, we are blessed to be traveling for one month, four weeks, thirty days!

Mike, to some referred to as Rock will be the pilot of Winnie. She is our mode of transportation and our home away from home, a Winnebago Voyage motorhome. My roll will be co- navigator, head photographer, and travel attendant. What is a travel attendant you might say? This person gets the drinks, snacks, and makes the sandwiches while traveling at speeds of up to 70 mph! It may sound like a no brainer job but trust me it takes some serious skills. Last, but not least we will have Rubi--the dinghy. (For those unfamiliar with motorhome terms a dinghy is the tow vehicle.) Rubi is our jeep we tow behind Winnie. They are a great team.

Again, thanks for joining us, hope you enjoy. . . . . .. .
