Cross Country on Amtrak |
|
I've just returned from a five day trip on Amtrak! California-to-Massachusetts.
I had to travel to San Jose, California, on business. Rather than simply fly home, I decided to take the slow route. I traveled the whole distance on Amtrak. It took five days! I departed San Jose on Thursday evening and arrived at home late on Monday. Each night, I had a "roomette" which is a rather small compartment with two seats that convert into a bed at night.
I've taken overnight trains many times before (in Asia, Europe, Africa and the East Coast of United States). But, this was my first trip ever across the United States by rail.
Don't expect too much quality in the photos. Most of them were shot through the window of a moving train! What I hoped to capture is the incredible diversity of landscape from the different parts of the country.
Hope you enjoy the fuzzy pictures and my stories from this trip!
