Welcome to our trip journal!
I have emphysema and needed to use supplemental oxygen 24/7 for several years. In 2007, we sold the farm in Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina where I had Lung Volume Reduction Surgery, LVRS, at Duke Medical Center. Because of that surgery, I no longer need supplemental oxygen and am now traveling around the U.S. in our RV with my friend, Bob, our two dogs, Taco the Terrible and Pounce the Perfect, and a parrot named Sam.
** A footnote** (Unfortunately, Pounce "left" on May 24, 2010 and is now waiting for us at The Rainbow Bridge. She was 22 years old).
Join us now while we wander around our great country with no particular goal in mind other than to see what we can see while we, as Americans, still own it!
We are staying in state parks, COE parks, and some private campgrounds, namely those that are members of Passport America where we save 50% off the regular rate. If you want to save money and be able to camp more, I hope you join this club...and tell them Penny and Bob sent you.
