Sullivan's Travels

Pat travel blog
Howdy from the Sullivans, that is Pat and Dan. I'm Dan and have inherited this journal from my lovely wife Pat. Pat's attention has shifted big time to quilting, one of her many hobbies and talents. Another of her talents is telling me where to go and what to do when I get there. So...here I am.
As many folks do, we started out as weekenders and vacationing RVers during our later working years in St. Paul, Minnesota. After retiring in January, 2002 we became snowbirds, gone from our NW Wisconsin retirement home for six months at a time. We both loved the RVing life and in August, 2006 we made the plunge, selling the house and car and disposing of all that "stuff" we didn't really need and began our fulltime RV life. We love it and have no plans to exit.

We live and travel in our 2009 40 ft Escalade by KZ. It provides us a/c (2), heat (electric and propane) central vac, frplc, double frig w/ice maker & water, dishwasher, 40" tv, Atwood leveling system, etc. All that is supported by an 18" frame on 8,000 lb axles with electric over hydrolic brakes and pulled by our F450.

We are in a second marriage of 32 years and have six kids, 3 each, and six grandchildren, 3 each.

So hop on and come along, we're glad to have you.

Prior to starting this blog our RV travels took us to most all of the states east of the Mississippi and a number of them west, including New Mexico and Arizona. Before the RV life we had enjoyed all the other states except Alaska, which remains as the only state we haven't been to.
