Our Big Backyard
This trip journal is our attempt to let you see the sights and experience the adventures that we have as we travel around.
Debbie and I lived a fairly typical lifestyle until 2005 when we decided to retire. We left our medical practices and moved into our motorhome fulltime. We were not ready to completely give up our practice of medicine and there are short-term jobs available at clinics all over the world. We decided that this would give us the chance to travel to interesting places and then to stay for a few weeks or a few months.
We spent the summer in Anchorage. We worked in a clinic from Monday to Friday and explored outside Anchorage on the weekends.
We left Anchorage at the beginning of October with a plan to get back to Houston in about 6 weeks.
