The Murphys' Italian Adventure

JoAnn and Jim travel blog
Welcome to our trip journal! We left College Station this morning at 1:15--yes, that is A.M.!--in a heavy rainstorm with lots of thunder and lightning. It rained so hard during most of the two-hour trip that Jim could hardly see to drive. Fortunately we made it to Bush International in plenty of time for our 5:15 a.m. flight to Charlotte, NC. That is where we are now with a five-hour layover.

We will leave Charlotte at 2:00 for a flight to JFK in New York and then finally starting the last leg at 6:00, winging our way to Italy. We hope to arrive in Milan rested after a good nap ready to enjoy the history and beautiful scenery, along with some pasta, pizza, and gelato, covering many miles in our rental car. We are ready for the "la dolce vita!"
