Washington Oregon Trip 2010: Aliens Abroad |

Welcome to my trip journal! We are a hybrid family of four. Dad is Scottish, Mum, N.Irish and two children, Patrick (13) and Jamie (14) who, they insist, are English.
This summer we Brits travelled through Washington and Oregon for one month. We stayed in beautiful State Park cabins and yurts, 'economy' motels and holiday lets.
We tried to master the language, come to grips with driving on the right in a non-manual car, negotiate walking on roads without pavements/sidewalks, and tried our first chowder.
As Tom said, it was like living in a parallel planet where everything is slightly 'wrong'. (He did really just mean different!)
