Welcome to my trip journal! I've had China on my list for many years, and finally it is here!!
China, a powerful nation in the world, yet most of its 1.3 billion people have never stepped foot out of the country. For me, China makes country number 39!! I found out a lot about China, even before I arrived here - I attended an 8 week Chinese language course, have been practising my language skills with CDs in the car for the past 3 months, finally read most of Wild Swans (yes, ran out of time!), and watched a number of Chinese movies, including Kung Fu Panda!! Has this prepared me? I'm very excited to soon see.
