South Pacific and Japan - Spring 2009 |
|
Hello and welcome to my new trip journal!
This year I am finally reaching my seventh and last continent: Oceania. I am also meeting my friend Susanne (from Zurich) in Japan afterwards. The trip will last a total of 12 weeks, during which I plan to visit Australia, New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and Japan.
Since these are all first world countries and easy to travel in, the main challenge on this trip will be to keep my expenses in check. I'm expecting shared bathrooms and the occasional dorm in youth hostels most of the way!
But I'm also planning on a few expensive activities like parachute jumping and swimming with dolphins in New Zealand. I'll also be hiking to my heart's content in some amazing natural landscapes. This trip will have it all: exciting cities, natural beauty, tropical beaches, food, wine, culture, you name it. :-)
Take a look at my itinerary by clicking the link on the right-hand side.
As the trip progesses, new entries will be added to the right of the map (below). You should receive an e-mail update every time I post new stuff.
Enjoy!
