Unique Newsletter Targets Featured Online Travel Journals

Vancouver, BC, Canada

MyTripJournal.com announced today the inauguration of its new traveler newsletter, Traveler Talk, to complement the 'Best Websites' unveiled in February 2006 (Feb 8, 2006: Hooked on Travel? Browse the Best of MyTripJournal.)

As with the 'Best Websites', MyTripJournal's e-newsletter focuses on high-quality subscriber websites in the context of featured destinations.

"We are focused on what our customers do best: writing great stories and taking phenomenal photos," said Dan Parlow, head of business development, "and using them in a fun, lighthearted way for other travelers".

The inaugural edition, featuring Thailand, boasts a story called 'Bossing Around Elephants' written by subscriber David Rich and feature photo 'Head in Living Tree' taken by subscriber Christopher Buckley. Both can be seen in the newsletter.

In addition to the monthly travel destination, each edition will highlight a MyTripJournal feature and seek user input into future product improvements.

MyTripJournal's partner sites include Lonely Planet, the Good Sam Club, the International Student Identity Card (US), Travel Cuts, GAP Adventures and Adventure Center.

MyTripJournal - developed by world adventurers Dan and Faye Parlow in concert with software developer GroupInfoWeb.com provides travelers with a simple tool to keep up an online journal to record all aspects of their trip and stay in touch with friends and family, all in an ad-free environment. It includes the usual text and photo uploads and messaging as well as full use of the patent pending IntelliMap system. Premium features include the ability to post unlimited personal videos, to store thousands of print-quality photos and to receive a full archive on CD or DVD. A free version is available at www.MyTripJournal.com. Standard websites are complimentary for professional travel writers by emailing dparlow@mytripjournal.com.
