Today we visited the beautiful town of Field, British Columbia in the Yoho National Park as well as the Natural Bridge (The Kicking Horse River carved a natural bridge through solid rock) and Emerald Lake. We are staying right in the middle of 6 National Parks. All of them have been amazing.
Yoho National Park is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains along the western slope of the Continental Divide in southeastern British Columbia. Yoho NP is bordered by Kootenay National Park on the southern side and Banff National Park on the eastern side. The name Yoho comes from a Cree word expressing amazement. Amazement is exactly what we feel about this area. :-)
The Natural Bridge deserves a journal update on it's own, so does Emerald Lake and Yoho National Park and Field, BC. :-) There is much more to see in this area, but we are out of time. We made previous appointments before visiting Canada and did not allow enough time. Next time, we will do it right. We are heading back toward the US tomorrow. I am adding a lot of photos to sum up all the other areas we visited and did not have time to do updates. We hope you enjoy the photos from this fantastic area.
