I was on the go all day today, doing my last-minute activities and getting my chores done so I’d be ready to leave early tomorrow morning.
First, I went to the gym to walk a mile on the treadmill and to participate in my last Silver Sneakers exercise class. Two of my classmates gave me parting gifts: a lovely white plate with the words “Many Blessings” in gold and a bar of mandarin cranberry goat’s milk soap.
Right after class I raced off to my barber for a haircut. After she had finished, she took photos of both sides and the back so I could show my next stylist how I want it done. I dread the search for a new one; so many of them don’t know how to cut wavy hair.
Then I headed back to the gym, stopping only long enough for a quick bite of lunch before my last personal training session. Eddie gave me a good workout and some parting advice. I’ve enjoyed the training sessions and they’ve helped me to become stronger. I want to keep it up.
Next on the agenda was having my car tires checked at the nearby Discount Tire store. I had to wait my turn for only a couple of minutes. From there, I headed home to do my last-minute laundry chore. I barely had time to finish it before dashing off to Matt’s El Rancho restaurant for dinner with my small-group friends. We had a good visit. They paid for my meal and gave me some nice parting gifts and another round of hugs. These people are very special to me. They have been so kind and loving! I will really miss them.
