|Today we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We walked from our hotel. We saw the original Thriller suit, Learned about the history of rock and roll, and listened to a lot of music. I bought a Jackson five CD. Later we drove to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton where we saw some of the first football helmets ever worn. They were made out of leather. They also had busts of all the people who made the hall of fame, except the 2012 ones. Some of the Hall-of-famers had full size statues. There was a computer that you could look up honorees by team, and watch movies about them. One of the people that they put in this year was playing in the 1950’s. Afterward we headed out to Chicago. While on the road we ate at a “service oasis”; this is a place with cafes, restaurants, gift shops and gas stations right on the freeway. I had another burger because I ate at Hardees, which is Carl’s Jr. in California. From there we drove through a huge thunderstorm. Lightning was everywhere. An “ooh” here, an “ah” there; It was beautiful. When we got to Chicago we saw the Sears Tower get struck by lightning – twice. It was really late by the time we finally got to the hotel. I didn’t like it because the shower didn’t work well.
