|This morning was our last day on the cruise.... awoke to our standard morning swim off the boat.... beautiful breakfast, then we had to pack up our bags...sad. we set sail for Pirates cove, and could swim into a very cool 20m long cave, with a little rock island inside. Then sailed on to Myra. This was where we farewelled our crew, and our new family of friends that we had made. we went on a minibus into the town of Myra which was home to St Nicholas...the saint who gave out gifts to the poor children that he had made...did you know it was Coca Cola that put him in a red suit with long white beard for a promotion in late 1800's?? I found this out too. Then drove on to Olympos where we are...staying in a tree house. This is an anicent Lycian town from 200BC... and is also on the beach. We chilled for a bit and had an afternoon nap, then went down to see the historic ruins and for a swim. After dinner we went on a tour to Mt Olympos to see the eternal flame, a natural wonder, flames escape from the rocks by methande gas... it was the first eternal flame of the Olympic games that long ago!! Home to our tree house for a bad night sleep!
