This morning I had to return my HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One printer because the scanner was malfunctioning. It left streaks even after I had cleaned it. OfficeMax didn't have another one so I had to get a different model and pay some extra for it. It works just fine with my Dell Latitude with Windows XP but not with my Apple PowerBook. The operating system in the Apple is too old. I guess I'll be forced to upgrade to OS X 10.6. Grrr! Technology changes keep dipping into my pocketbook.
I also bought a couple of 4-gigabyte SanDisk Cruzer USB flash drives. They were on sale for $9.00. The prices for these little drives has certainly gone down in the last few years.
On a happier note, I had a good time at the J.O.Y. fellowship at church. I played Rummikub with several others. Then we had a delicious potluck luncheon. After the meal we had a program, "Getting to Know You" based on the song of that title. The leader asked each of us a different question about our family, favorite book or similar question.
When I got back home, Nancy came over with her shovel to help me plant the salvia greggii that I bought the other day at the Wildflower Center. Right now it doesn't look like much because it's just a baby. It should grow well since it supposedly thrives on abuse. I'll take another photo when it has grown up.
Nancy also lent me her sewing machine. I need to alter some new tops that I bought recently. I used to have a nice sewing machine, which I gave to Goodwill. Now I wish I had kept it. Oh, well.
