This morning I attended a church just a couple of blocks from the Pioneer RV Park. A retired minister preached on the third Beatitude: Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. I think that only the meek could cope with it, given the mess the earth is in. :>) I ate lunch in their parking lot before heading out to Prosser, Washington.
On arriving in Prosser, I visited the Benton County Historical Museum. It has a very nice collection -- or maybe I should say "collections". Of particular interest to me was a Gem Roller Organ, c. 1900. It was pictured in the 1908 Sears catalog on a browsing table for $3.45 plus 3 records. I had never before seen one of these.
They also have a fine example of a square grand piano, as well as other pieces of furniture. There was quite a large collection of model cars of the 1930s which were carved in excellent detail from wood by a local resident. There must have been a hundred of them.
After the museum visit, I went to Wine Country RV Park to make my home for the night.
