Back in Canon City

Last one...back home!

We had another one of those "WOWSER" days today. We visited the Royal Gorge Park and Bridge in Canon City.

The Royal Gorge Bridge is one of the world's highest suspension bridges hanging over the Arkansas River. You are actually allowed to drive your car across the bridge. We were a bit scared at first. We are glad we did it NOW, after we are home and safe. :-) The view was incredible.

The price to get into the park was $25 each, we got our tickets on the Radio Shopping Show for only $7 each.

We really enjoyed the Wapiti Wildlife Park. It is a 10 - acre park with a lot of native Colorado animals including some rare white buffalo. I tried to get a good picture of them, they were too busy eating to look up.

Another great attraction in the park is the Royal Rush Skycoaster. It has a free-fall tower sweeping you 50 miles per hour while hanging 1,300 feet above the Arkansas River. I thought about doing this one, maybe later.

We had a great day in the park and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Check back later for more from Colorado.
