We had a beautiful drive from South Fork to Durango on Tues. Unfortunately, when we got to the Alpen Rose RV Park (our park of choice) they were full & we couldn't get in until Wednesday when a caravan was leaving. So we went back down the road a few miles & spent the night at the United Campground. Since we were later than usual getting set up, we decided not to cook. There are 4 micro-breweries in Durango so we had no problem finding somewhere to eat. Ha! The next morning, we were treated to the toot-toot of the Durango & Silverton Railroad train passing thru the campground on its way from Durango to Silverton.

Yesterday morning we moved to the Alpen Rose RV Park for the remainder of our stay here. We're parked in beautiful trees & there's a 2 acre dog park for Callie. We took her out to the dog park last nite & let her loose. At first she didn't realize she was free but then she began running across the field as fast as she could (& that's fast!). She chased an incoming rv (didn't bark - just ran along the fence line beside it) & ran around the perimeter of the field. Luckily we were able to get her to come to us when it was time to go home.

Today David took out the shelf & towel rack in the toilet room of our new trailer & we bought & installed a cabinet in place of the shelf. The cabinet gives us the extra storage we needed in the bathroom.

Tomorrow we're going to start doing some sightseeing in the area. More later...
