Today the pandemic rules were relaxed a little at CARE. We are now allowed to eat all our meals in the dining room – still with the six-foot social distancing, of course. We must wear our face masks when we enter and have our temperature taken. Staff personnel and volunteers bring our meal trays to us and then bus the tables afterwards. The tables are still far apart and only one couple and one single person can sit at a table together. Those who still prefer to eat at home can have their meals delivered.
The occasion was festive today. The tables were decorated with pretty place mats and live flowers. Balloons floated above all the tables. It was good to be back to “near normal” after the long time of not seeing each other every day.
