Reflections on the Llano River

We made our way across east Texas into the Hill Country today. It was raining when we started out, but by noon the rain had stopped and the sun started to break through. We arrived in Llano late in the afternoon just in time for dinner at Cooper's Old Time Pit BBQ where "It's all about the meat". We had brisket, roast pork, smoked sausage, slaw, potato salad, beans, and a Shiner Bock. Texas Hill Country is the Bar-B-Que capitol of the world and Cooper's Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que of Llano reportedly the best of the best in the Bar-B-Que business. We brought home enough leftovers to have for lunch. On the way back to Winnie, we stopped by the Llano Bridge for some sunset pictures. We'll be here in Llano for a couple of days before heading to west Texas. Stay tuned.
