Our trip out of Wisconsin from Dodgeville to Parks Love, IL was 96 miles, about a third of it on I-39 which was very smooth. We did encounter about eight miles of the trip on a county road that was much less than desirable but it did allow us to cut the corner, save about 15 miles and most importantly miss all that construction we drove through going to Dodgeville around Madison.

We are staying at Rock Cut State Park with only a 50 amp connection. We filled our water tank before leaving Dodgeville and they have a very nice dump station on the way out. Our site is very large but has a tree badly needing trimming right alongside the parking pad, requiring us to back in about four feet over from where we are supposed to be. We still have a tree limb hanging down that the satellite dish has to shoot through by we got sighted in, though the signal is a little degraded but fine as long as it isn't raining. We have good Verizon and data reception seems to be good as well.

Saturday was college football and our Gators finally got to play and looked pretty good though the competition wasn't the highest. I guess we'll really see how good they are in two weeks when they take on the elephants of Alabama!

Sunday we made the drive back up to Delavan, WI to see The Dancing Horses. It was a pretty good show with 12 different performances by some beautiful Arabians, a Percheron, a Quarterhorse and a Miniature Horse. All in all very worthwhile even if we did miss the first NFL game of the day. We did make it back for the next two though!

We had planned to go back up to Beloit, WI on Tuesday to see the Angel Museum which is supposed to have the largest collection of angels in the world. However, on Monday we were checking on how to get there and noticed they were only open Thursday-Saturday as opposed to Tuesday-Saturday in the brochure we had. We will have to check it out on a future visit.

Tomorrow we head for Utica, IL and Starved Rock State Park about an 84 mile drive. We will be there until Saturday morning.
