Bang Pao Fishing Village

Natalya:

Today we had a fantastic time snorkelling. First we traveled in a truck taxi along a very narrow and winding road to the fishing village of Bang Pao on Ko Chang island. Then we traveled by speed boat to a beautiful coral reef in the middle of the ocean. Visibility was phenomenal and we saw hundreds of colourful fish. It was really easy to float because water is so salty here and a flick of the flippers was enough to move you a couple of feet. Our second stop was a uninhabited island with a stunning white sand beach. The sand was incredibly soft and water filled with coral and tropical fish. We saw many colourful clams and coral of all shapes and colors. It was so relaxing and peaceful.

Tomorrow we begin our overland journey to Siem Reap in Cambodia to see the Angkor Wat temples - a United Nations' World Heritage site. We plan to stay in Siem Reap for 3 days and then head to Phnom Pehn to get our Vietnamese visas. After that we plan to fly to Hanoi, Vietnam. Internet facilities might be tough to get to in Cambodia, we look forward to updating you as soon as we can.
