This morning I was on the road by my target departure time of 8:00. I arrived at the church’s parking lot with about twenty minutes to spare.
The Christmas program was well worth the extra effort to attend. The choir, orchestra and drama team all did a wonderful job of presenting “The Great Ex-change” which explored several definitions of the word “exchange.” There was also a funny video of a couple looking for a parking place at the mall. Everyone received a booklet, “A Wonderful Life – 12 Days of Christmas Devotional” in English and Spanish.
In my Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) I looked up the man who had donated the gift certificate for Sweet Pea’s day at the auto spa. I asked him about performing the same services for Daisy but he said that they don’t have the equipment to handle vehicles that large.
Tonight neighbor Nancy and I went with Val to Bannockburn Baptist Church (BBC) to hear their program, "The Spirit of Christmas" featuring Nashville recording artist and songwriter, Buddy Greene. The BBC choir in the "singing Christmas tree" and the orchestra also provided special music. It was very well done.
