Great News!18 March - Mary did have surgery late yesterday afternoon but it went much better than originally expected. They made only a small incision and it only took 30 minutes. I don’t really understand what it was all about but it had something to do with an egg thingy twisting around an ovary thingy. They did have to remove one ovary and I’m not sure what effect that will have for her later on in life. The hospital stay and recovery time have been sufficiently reduced. She may be back home tomorrow in Yuba City before I get there and back to school by the end of Spring break, which is coming up in early April. I talked with her today and she sounded really good and is already taking walks around the block (her hospital block). I am so relieved.
I made it through the pass and back into California and parked at Walmart in Yreka for the night.
