Our trip today was for 225 uneventful miles over so-so roads. While we were on US20 there were several stretches where it had the concrete joint tango playing and about vibrated us apart. Once we came on down to US30 these were much less frequent and less severe. The scenery was all corn fields excpet for a few wind farms we came across and these were behind the cornfields.
We are staying at Meskwaki RV Park which is behind and ran by the Meskwaki Casino on the Meskwaki reservation just outside Tama, IA. It's a nice campground with large, level, concrete pull-throughs. They only supply electric (20, 30 and 50 amp) but have water and a dump available - cost is $15 plus tax. The casino is also one of the larger ones I have seen outside Vegas. It had a good buffet which we took advantage of and we played the slots a little as well. Total outlay for a site, two lunches and two hours of entertainment: $50.
Tomorrow we head for Rock Falls, IL which is about 30 miles east of the Illinois state line. That will be our last stop before reaching South Bend, IN on Sunday.
