Well, today we say goodbye to beautiful Thailand. The last couple of days in Bangkok have been very different from the rest of our trip. Bangkok is very busy. Our hotel is very luxurious, something we're not used to. We booked at the Millenium Hilton on the river. It's very modern and very expensive. We had two glasses of red wine each last eve and cost us $70Can. Ouch!

We had a nice long tail boat ride up the river and through the local canals. Very different lifestyles through the canals. Of course they had us stop and the tourist traps like the snake farm, thai house, orchid farm, and of course a temple.

The river is sooooo polluted and many people fish out of it....so don't order fish while your here.

Sadly, today we depart at 6:30pm. We fly to Singapore and spend the night and then off to LA-Calgary tomorrow. It will be nice actually to break up the long flight with an over night stay.

We have had an amazing trip and have been discussing where we want to travel to next......so stay tuned.

See you all soon.

Ciao,

M & T
