We picked Mom up on Monday afternoon and had a bite of lunch with sister Lori and her hubby Marion before they headed back to Mesquite. Afterward we stopped at my Uncle Austin's house (Mom's youngest brother) and had a nice visit with him, Christina and my 2nd cousin Amanda. Amanda resides in California but is here for Christmas, so our timing was great!

Tuesday we took Mom over to see Larry & Tawnia's new home. It was actually my first time to see it as well. They haven't actually moved into it yet as they are doing alot of remodeling on it. The painting is mostly done and the new kitchen cabinets are installed but the granite countertops, flooring, carpeting, appliances etc still have to be done. They were hoping to move in before Christmas but obviously that won't be happening.

We spent a couple of hours visiting with Tawnia and the kids. Mom wanted to watch her great grandchildren open their gifts this year, even though it was a bit early, as she would be leaving on Wednesday morning. We had a nice visit and got to see this year's gingerbread house entries. Every year they each do one and put them up on Facebook for friends and family to vote. They are all very competitive. It's fun to watch them enjoy their annual family Christmas tradition!!!

Well, that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by and hope you are well on your way with your traditional Christmas activities. Which include, shopping, baking, wrapping etc etc etc. Hopefully you are also taking the time to remember the real meaning of Christmas. God bless us one and all!
