Ginny's Adventures 2017 travel blog

long narrow drive, hard launch site

bald cypress is highlight of this creek

here is also where limpkins might be found

love the red epiphytes on trees

and things growing in dead palm trunks

lunch is important part of kayaking

wonder how old this cypress trunk is

big and small!

oh so clean!

spider lily?

We haven't had much rain but this creek is deep. The problem is that there is little space between the shore and the drop off to use to get into the kayak and then back out again. We were successful today, though.

This is another scenic creek with many cypress trees, spanish moss, and epiphytes making it look very old Florida. Limpkin birds are usually hard to find, but we saw one out in the open on this creek!
