Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Folks are beginning to arrive, this place was packed! A complete sell-out...

At times it was VERY LOUD!

Overall, it was just plain wonderful, I highly recommend you try to...

Tonight Larry and I attended a concert given by Creedence Clearwater Revisited.

Stu Cook and Doug "Cosmo" Clifford may not have intended it, but their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited has taken on a startling life of its own. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (bass and drums respectively) from the legendary group Creedence Clearwater Revival launched the Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live Creedence Clearwater Revival hits - touchstones of a generation. Though the pair initially only planned to play private parties, Creedence Clearwater Revisited now performs up to 100 shows a year and has released the album "Recollection."

After Creedence Clearwater Revival disbanded in 1972, Cook and Clifford -- who had played together since junior high -- remained close. They formed a production company together before heading off for separate musical projects, Clifford playing with the renowned Sir Douglas Quintet and Cook joining with a few former Doobie Brothers in the pioneering country-rock band Southern Pacific. When those projects ended, Cosmo and Stu hooked up again. Realizing both missed playing live Creedence music that had been lying dormant. Doug and Stu decided to put together their own band to perform the songs in concert. Hence, Creedence Revisited....

Tonight Revisited played classics like "Susie Q," "Lodi," "Proud Mary," "Down On The Corner," "Fortunate Son" and "Who'll Stop The Rain"....Wow, it was AWESOME!

Below is a link to their web-site. I am sending you to a page that has a live link to hear "Born on The Bayou" (in the middle, red bar). If you click the Video Link on the top of the page (in black area), you can hear & see short blurbs of other songs. There is also a concert date list that might be of interest to you. They are playing all over the country so they might be in your neck of the woods. If you loved Creedence, they are a definite must see!

Picture taking was not allowed until the very end and mine are not very good. The lighting was very poor for pic taking, plus, I only had my old Canon with me & it is still acting funny, even after my warranty work. Well, I tried! Enjoy....
