We're taking a year off to travel! travel blog

After a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, we decided to drive to Laughlin to check out our next campground. We had heard it was quite a climb to get up to it (appropriately named Ridgeview!) so wanted to see what we were getting into before we had the trailer with us. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that, while it is a climb, it was a gradual one. It is also in Bullhead City, on the Arizona side of the river, and not where we were expecting it to be. It looks to be recently renovated with large sites, and again, not much in the way of shade. It is located on a ridge overlooking the river and the casinos.

So, since we were so close, we drover over to check out the casinos, especially the Riverside, where we have reservations for my birthday. Not much had changed, excep0t an increase in prices since our last visit, although we will have to update our players cards since it has been 3 years.

After walking through several casinos, we had lunch at the Outback Steakhouse before driving home through Laughlin.
