After the "Arte en la Charrería" exhibit, we went across the street to the Blanton Museum of Arts' special exhibition, "About Face: Portraiture as Subject." The exhibition features 40 portraits in diverse mediums from antiquity to today. Most of them are from The Blanton’s collection, along with several loaned objects. About Face examines how personality and aspects of character are portrayed in art. The approaches vary greatly. A few are self portraits and some of those artists apparently didn't have very high opinions of themselves. :>)
Last -- and NOT on my TO DO list -- as I was backing out of my space in the parking building, I hit the pillar with the left front fender. It made long scratches and a big dent. Aarrgghh!! Inge knows about a man who will make good repairs for a reasonable charge and she will give me his number.
