Talk about short drives, this one was only 34 miles!
This is our kids home, we were here last fall. They made it so comfy for us we thought we’d come back. After all they do give us free space with water and 50 amp electric. We’ll stay here through the Easter weekend then move on up the road. Be sure to look at our itinerary for future stops.
Already, Dave has made a set of large leveling pad bases onto which he’ll put the height adjusting pads. You’ll see pictures of the set up. You see, the feet of the leveling jacks are kinda small and combined with the heaviness of the coach, the feet can sink and/or go crooked into the ground. If they do that, there are many potential problems. So, with a single sheet of 3/4 in plywood, cut up into 8 pieces each measuring 18” X 18”. The 8 pieces are sandwiched in sets of two, using liquid nails glue and lots of 1 1/4 inch screws going into both sides of the wood to make a very solid and strong weight bearing pad. Finally, he screwed to one side of each a sturdy handle, which will make it easy to put them into place as well to take them out.
