This will probably be our last update from the area. We will be heading toward Washington soon.
We had a great day visiting the little town of Depoe Bay. It was cool watching the boats coming back in from fishing charters and cheering when they arrived safely back into the harbor.
Depoe Bay is the site of the world's smallest navigable harbor. It is a challenge for the boats to get back in. The guys we heard cheering were also happy fishermen. They came back with some nice fish and crabs.
We also did some whale watching, we didn't see any whales but we did see a couple of sea lions floating on a buoy.
We had some great fish and chips and a white chocolate haystack each from the candy store. Thanks Gordon and Juanita for telling us about the Sea Hag in your Oregon Coast update, it was wonderful. :-)
We loved this little whale watching town and hope to come back for a longer visit.
Check back later for more from Oregon.
