Picnic

Last one!

We had a "WOWSER" 4th of July celebration. We drove 70 miles to Forks, WA. The drive took us through parts of the Olympic National Park and Forest and around beautiful Lake Crescent. I took over 500 pictures again today. :-)

Just the drive to the parade was awesome and then the parade itself was over the top incredible!! They really know how to go all out in Forks. The parade lasted almost two hours, it just kept coming and coming. Everything from antique cars, trucks, fire trucks to even logging trucks, not to mention all the incredible floats. They had floats representing several communities in WA including Sequim, Holquiam, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, and of course Forks. They even had Twilight floats for the Cullens and more. :-) It was well worth the drive and we would do it again next year in a flash.

After the parade, everyone headed over to the local park for a huge salmon bake. They also had vendors with hot dogs, burgers and all the 4th of July goodies available for a huge picnic in the park. The place was packed. :-)

After all the fun in Forks, we headed to Port Angeles for the fireworks. They put on a huge show, it seemed to go on forever too. We had a day we won't forget, and hope all our readers had a great day too.

Happy 4th of July to all and Happy Birthday to our grandson Cameron!
