Today was our last day at Zion National Park and we went to a less popular, but just as beautiful, part of the park, Kolob Canyons. Here the rocks seems to be more crimson and more layered than at Zion. They are truly breathtaking. Marsha and Susan went to the Best Friends Animal Shelter in nearby Kanab, Utah, where thousands of animals of all kinds are rescued from all over the U.S. and rehabilitated or housed. It's where they rehabilitated Michael Vick's fighting pit bulls.
Tomorrow we head out to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for a couple of days and then on to Lake Powell in Arizona.
