Glenda's Adventures with Daisy 2006-07 travel blog

This morning I attended a little church just a couple of exits from the RV park in Sequim. The people were friendly. A man told me that they get an average of only ten inches of rain in this area while, not far away, there is about 144 inches. Such a quirky thing!! One couple used to be full-time RVers and spent several of their winters at Padre Island. They've also stayed at Quartzsite, Arizona for months at a time.

After eating a bite of lunch in their parking lot, I went to Port Angeles, just a few miles to the west. I stopped at the visitor's center at the harbor to get a map and information about nearby RV parks. The lady recommended Salt Creek RV Park near Joyce so I checked it out. I didn't like the looks of it so I just left. I called a couple of other parks, neither of which had a vacant space.

One recommended Peabody RV Park in Port Angeles, which is where I ended up. I paid for two nights since I would be returning late in the afternoon tomorrow from my trip to Victoria, British Columbia. The park is only three blocks from the ferry -- a very easy walk.
