Salmon from ladder overnight

route for salmon

releasing counted salmon

Harry got up early to have tire fixed (small finishing nail) before we made breakfast and went to the salmon ladder to see if any were still there. Some were close to the ladder, but not going up. We did see the ones inside from the night before and watched them be counted and released. Very chilly this morning so ready to get in the truck to warm up. Had lunch in Teslin at the Yukon Hotel and ran into our friends from the Fantasy RV cruise again. They were staying at the RV park there but we pressed on. Wished we could have been together one more night to catch up since we parted ways, but pressed to get Harry to US and work if we delay. Harry tried to add to the rock graffiti and put our message at a rest area, but too muddy. Met another retired Air Force couple checking out our swivel wheel trailer there too. Arrived at Junction 37 campground near Watson Lake. Huge sites and minimal setup. Laundry and showers old but usable. Harry and I rode the motorcycle into town in search of Alaska Highway T-shirts and bolts but no luck. Returned for a fire and sunset now at 10pm. Tomorrow we start south in new territory.
