We stopped for two nights at the Pecos Escapees park in Pecos, Tx. We had originally planned only a one night stand here, but Jeff was still feeling the effects of his cold pretty much so we decided to stay until he felt some better.
The Pecos SKP park is pretty utilitarian and VERY tight. There were two rigs with their slides out who probably had about 1 inch of clearance between the two slides. We had thought we could take in the Judge Roy Bean exhibit and the museum, but unfortunately they were closed Sunday and Monday, so we were out of luck there.
We drove around Pecos a little - enough to make me very glad that I didn't live there. I know that it is home for some people and they love it, but it was a dismal place to me. This could be why I didn't take any pictures.
After the second night, Jeff felt good enough to take off. Maybe we'll see Pecos again and see the museum, but if I don't, I'm OK with that.
