This morning we rode up Shadow Mountain, which is a forest service road, with the idea that we could tell folks about the dispersed camping there, AND we didn’t find many opportunities. There are a few camping spaces, but very few. The flowers on top were amazing – every color that can be seen. From there, we drove Buffalo Valley road up to Turpin Meadows, thinking that might be a place to fish. However, it is a LONG way, with very few places to go in and fish.
Lunch was at Jackson Lake Lodge, where I had the delicious fish chowder and John enjoyed a wonderful burger. We also purchased the tickets for the cruise on Tuesday evening.
Back in Jackson, we attempted to find fly fishing line, but when the weather turned bad, we hurried to Smiths and then home, only getting drenched on the way to the truck from the store. Jim had moved all our chairs and Charma’s flowers, as the wind was evidently really heavy here.
Dinner was BBQ pork and a delicious salad. It has been a delightful day.
