Our RV trip around Atlantic Canada 2009 travel blog

As the sun sets.

Nearly gone.

We leave Walton and head along the coastline. We follow Route 1 which runs inside the mountain ridge between the coast and the mainland. Here the road is populated practically along its entirety, most houses are on similar sized plots and of a similar design. We cross over the mountain range to get to the coast, where we meet differing houses in all sorts of locations. We drop down back to the shore line. Here at the harbour we see the fishermen’s boat “dry docked” within the harbour walls. They are balanced on metal supports to stop them falling over. We book into a campsite and then we walk amongst the rock pools and around the harbour.

Later as we watch the sun set into the watery horizon we see the boat in the harbour start to bob up and down into view as the tide rolls in and lifts all the boats up to the top of the harbour walls.

Flynn meets up with a girl called Emma and goes off exploring with her (after being told not to disappear from our sight). Within minutes he has gone from view and when I find him, I discover that he is playing with Emma and her sister Sienna in their pop up trailer tent. After chatting to their parents we return back so Flynn can go to bed.
