Tomorrow morning we're heading north for visits with family in Virginia and Pittsburgh. This, on top of a week with Monica on the boat - she joined us in St. Augustine, and we put her on a plane Saturday in Orlando (about an hour away from where we are).
The week with her was great - we appreciated lots of things about her visit:
**Her help, especially the extra pair of good young eyes, that could see markers in the drenching rainstorms
**Her good nature and enthusiasm for everything
**Her willingness to let Warwick occasionally win two handed 500!
We made her put up with not only rain, but many nights in anchorages. But on the last day we did take a side trip to the Kennedy Space Center which we all enjoyed. For Warwick this was memorable because he was here in 1969 to see the Apollo 11 launch that put the first man on the moon.
The only downside has been our ongoing search for estimates and trying to deal with the damage done to the port side of the boat. We are close now to making a decision; it will be nice to get the duct tape off the hull.
