HColter Bay Campground

Grand Teton National Park

Wednesday

Today we headed off in the truck to see the park. We planned on heading south to the Moran Junction then to Moose Junction where we stopped for lunch. After a deli sandwich it was north on the Teton Park Road through North Jenny Lake Junction back to Colter Bay. At our first stop, Oxbow lookout, we looked over the valley to the Tetons and spotted elk feeding on the grass there. Next was Elk Ranch where we saw a number of bison were feeding. Then we continued to the Snake River overlook where we spotted a number of large rafts going done the river. I neat to know that the Snake River starts in the northern tetons and ends at the pacific ocean through the Columbia River. On the way north we just kept looking at the beauty of the mountains and glaciers still on them.

Thursday will be moving day to West Yellowstone Montana. I hope we have a little more Internet there.

I have posted more pictures on the web.
