We were really close to the alligators!

This little Anhinga caught lunch

Trying to swallow his fish - he dropped it and tried again

We took an early morning walk around the campground before packing up and traveling west across Hwy 41 - the Tamiami Trail. We stopped at the Shark Valley Visitors Center, part of Everglades National Park. The parking lot was really small and we got the last RV parking space. Alligators lined the walkway as people walked or rode their bikes right by them. Riding bikes on the 15 mile paved path is a popular activity there. They also have a tram that will take you on a tour along the path. Since we still had a ways to go to our next destination we just stayed for a little while and then continued on our way back to Ortona.
