We had another great day in Branson. We went to the Dutton Show and then out to dinner. The Dutton's are certainly a talented family, they have 7 children and 14 grandchildren, all of them play some sort of musical instrument, some more than one.
In 2007, the Duttons gained acclaim as they made it into the Top 10 finalists on America’s Got Talent. The Dutton children were all pre-school when they began learning to play violins, as a way for their parents to instill a sense of discipline and a strong work ethic. That early training led to performances at church and community events where they would be lucky to receive $25 for gas money.
In 1991, their lives changed as they hit the road for a nine-month, 300 show tour as full-time entertainers. Over the past 20 years, the Dutton fame has spread across the world and the family has built an entertainment complex in Branson with their Dutton Family Theatre, the Dutton Inn, and Abby’s Tourist Trap. Additionally, the Dutton Family Theatre #2 was opened this past year in Mesa, Arizona for winter performances.
After the wonderful show, we went to the White River Fish House for some awesome Trout Almondine. The Restaurant is located right on the Taneycomo River. Our table had a great view of the water. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Check back later for more from Branson.
