It was a 150 mile drive straight north on I-75 from our overnighter at 3 Flags. While there our friends, Dennis and Sam came out to see us for a couple hours and we made a "mandatory shopping trip" to Russell Stover store, Oh My! Upon arrival to Grassy Pond, we quickly settled into space 32. An open space backing up to the forest.

This little piece of heaven, Grassy Pond FAMCAMP is out in the country and a little south of the town Valdosta. This is a military campground owned by the Moody AFB, which is on the north side of Valdosta. This is our first time here and we have found it to have a small number of RV spaces but very accommodating with good facilities. At no time during our stay were ALL THE Spaces taken. Our first weekend, there were so many people milling about what with a wedding, a retirement BBQ, a large family reunion, and two other groups of some kind. There was lots of laughter, children having fun fishing and such. A fun place to be.

We're here as a staging spot for our next big adventure, an FMCA (Family Motor Coach Assoc) RV Rally about 130 miles north of here. But there are a couple things we'd like to see and do while here. So come along and explore with us.
